Artist Statement Biography
I am a photographer based in Busan, South Korea, capturing traces of urban life, architecture, and the people within these spaces. Inspired by Guy Debord’s The Society of the Spectacle, I seek to reveal the often-overlooked moments in the continuous transformation of the city. Massive construction sites symbolize the relentless evolution of urban landscapes, while the small remaining houses stand as remnants of time. Within this contrast, I explore how modern urban structures intertwine with human lives. Through the everyday scenes of city dwellers, I reflect on how shared spaces shape individual experiences. My photography is more than documentation—it is a window that invites viewers to rethink the environments they inhabit.
