Federico Pompei is an Italian photographer currently based in Milan. After some years spent studying and working in London, he moved back to Italy, where he focused on Fashion and Fine Art photography, together with commercial works.
 
Federico’s practice spans various subjects and topics, mixing still-life and portraiture, high-quality and lo-fi pictures. His work stands out for its meticulous attention to the exploration of beauty within unconventional contexts.
 
Federico’s work aims to explore beauty at large. A hint of melancholy characterises his work as a visual leitmotif despite different topics. His practice draws inspiration from a lifelong passion for grotesque aesthetics, cinema and literature, a thematic undercurrent that permeates his visual narrative.
