Artist Statement Biography
Dennis is a 30-year-old finnish photographer who lives a highly nomadic lifestyle of moving between places every few months. He works jobs such as fish factories and slaughterhouses that are way out of his comfort zone to access the smallest and most remote corners of the arctic to document the small towns and villages rarely visited by outsiders. Dennis has spent the winter 2024-25 homeless in northernmost Greenland, asking strangers for accommodation, despite not having common language with all hosts. The winter 2025-26 he will spend homeless in the southernmost Greenland and ultimately wishes to explore, document and understand all inhabited places of Greenland with plans to take the experiences to remote corners of Alaska, North Canada and Siberia in the future.
