Artist Statement Biography

Born in Nogales, Sonora, México in 1985, she/her, I’m a Los Angeles-based self-taught painter and interdisciplinary artist. I received a bachelor’s degree from Superior Fashion Center Edith Martin in Guadalajara, Jalisco, after which I worked in the fashion industry with my own label for 7 years before pursuing a career in fine arts. After having spent half of my life in Jalisco, I felt the urge to broaden my possibilities in the art world and drastically changed my personal journey, leaving behind my home in Guadalajara. I moved to Los Angeles, California, a place I've called home for the past 5 years. My medium centralizes in oil paint, but I’ve been exploring with other materials such as epoxy clay, epoxy resin and cold wax.

Part of my exhibit portfolio has been held in prominent galleries and museums in California, including The Cheech Museum in Riverside, the San Diego Museum of Art, Boathouse Gallery in Plaza de La Raza in Los Angeles, Modern Eden in San Francisco, and the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, among many more. My work has been acquired by people in the entertainment industry, added to the personal collection of 1Culture Gallery in San Jose, and incorporated to Alta Med Art Foundation Collection.
